New monthly payment options make artists and crafters insurance more accessible.
PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, February 19, 2024 — ACT Insurance (ACT) is pleased to announce monthly payments are now available on its popular ACT Pro policy. This new payment option makes it easier for creative professionals to purchase essential and affordable insurance with a lower upfront cost.
Artists, crafters, and vendors can receive year-long liability insurance for as low as $24.25 per month. An upfront payment is still available from $279 per year. Creative professionals can choose between upfront or monthly payments when purchasing a new policy online. Current policyholders can switch to monthly payments when renewing their ACT Pro policy or by contacting ACT Insurance.
President and CEO Daryle Stafford said, “Our mission is to support the creative community with simple, quality, affordable insurance coverage. The flexibility of monthly pricing furthers our commitment to artists and their need for specialized insurance that’s also conscious of their overhead costs. ACT has always been affordable, and now it’s more flexible and friendly to the wallets of creatives everywhere.”
The change comes as ACT reached a new milestone in 2023. ACT has insured more than 200,000 artists and crafters since launching in 2012, having protected over 50,000 creatives last year alone. The company is also proud to work with more than 2,100 events, helping promoters provide vendors and exhibitors with top-rated vendor insurance.
ACT Insurance is also widely known for having top-rated vendor insurance that is accepted at most art shows, craft fairs, and other events with creative vendors. More than 2,000 events have partnered with ACT to provide their vendors and exhibitors with a simple way to buy affordable insurance online.
“ACT’s move to monthly payments allows artists to approach insurance similarly to a typical subscription service, like Netflix or a gym membership,” said Ben Bluhm, Product Marketing Manager for ACT. “The base plan also includes the option to add on extra coverages, like Tools, Supplies, and Inventory insurance. Our hope is that the new monthly payments option makes it easier for artists and crafters to add coverages they need so they can feel better protected and spend less upfront doing it.”
In addition to having low-cost artist insurance, ACT provides policyholders with support from non-commissioned agents based in the US, free and unlimited additional insureds, and nationwide coverage.* ACT insures artists, crafters, and tradespeople who run their own creative businesses and are vendors at events. Visit the ACT website for a full list of who can be insured.
ACT’s base Pro Policy is a year-long coverage plan for creative professionals and can protect against claims of General and Product Liability, Completed Operations, Personal and Advertising Injury, Medical Expense Limit, and Damage to Premises Rented to You.
Additional coverages offered on the ACT Pro policy are also available at a low monthly rate. These include: Tools, Supplies, and Inventory Coverage (Inland Marine); Professional Liability Insurance (Errors and Omissions); and Cyber Liability Insurance. Additional coverages can be added to a policy at any time.
