Artists, Crafters & Tradesman Insurance Program (ACT) offers more than insurance policies—ACT provides a free promoter and event planner program to assist promoters and reduce their own liability insurance responsibility. Claims arising out of artist or vendor negligence can cause the promoter’s insurance premiums to increase and/or risk policy non-renewal.
With ACT’s promoter and event planner program, promoters can register their events and have their participants purchase an event insurance policy on an individual basis. The event participant is then responsible for their own negligence. The event participant selects the registered event and it is automatically added an additional insured, which removes liability responsibility from the promoter’s own insurance policy. The additional insured certificate of liability will be automatically emailed to the promoter.
The promoter and event planner program is free to use and comes with additional benefits. A designated ACT representative will be assigned to every event to assist promoters, and ACT will provide a customized ACT event e-flyer available to email to all accepted event participants. In addition, promoters can access insurance information online through their ACT account.
What promoters can do online:
- View, verify, and download certificates
- Add the registered event to the ACT’s Upcoming Events page
- Manage event information
- Register additional events
By signing up with ACT’s promoter and event planner program, promoters can reduce their liability responsibility by placing that responsibility on their artist, participants, and vendors. The program provides additional help for the promoter, making managing insurance simple. Visit ACT’s promoter and event planner web page to create an account and register your events today.
